cdist is a usable configuration management system. It adheres to the KISS principle and is being used in small up to enterprise grade environments. It natively supports IPv6 since the first release. cdist is an alternative to other configuration management systems.

Installation

Install cdistAUR

Use the types

Edit cdist/conf/manifest/init, add your hostname and use the types as seen on the present hosts. Afterwards run

$ cdist config -v your-host-name

And then the your-host-name will be configured.
